Who Are We?

Lake Shore Electric Corporation was founded in Cleveland, Ohio in 1922 and incorporated in 1946. Since its beginnings, Lake Shore has been devoted to the design and manufacture of electrical control systems, generator control switchgear and automatic transfer switches. We are the last or one of the last companies that will design, build and ship what the customer envisions and wants. Our mix of products includes not only our standard products but includes customized versions of these standard products for specific customer needs. It also includes custom fabrication and manufacturing of customer engineered products.

What Are We?

We are a small minority owned business that specializes in the design and manufacture of transfer switches, switchgear and electrical controls. We are unique in this respect because we have not only the privilege of being a minority company and thus favored in the market but also we have eighty seven years of experience as a company in this industry.

Our greatest strength is our flexibility to respond to our customers’ needs. Our willingness to provide the components the customer specifies. Our ability to get outside of the box on projects we accept. Our flexibility proves to be highly important when customer changes and or redesigns at any and all phases of the project must be accommodated.
